Still no guppy babies & happy Wednesday!

Holy crap. Can they really stay pregnant for life? All 3 of my female guppies r hugely pregnant and no babies yet. One of them (Rainbow) has been with a male for 22 days that I know of. No idea if she was with males before that. They only stay pregnant for an average of 28 days with 21 being shortest time so she should be droppin anytime! The other two I have no idea how far along they r. They were pregnant when we got them and r growing everyday. I thought yesterday was going to be the day for Rainbow. She was breathing all weird and chasing off the boys and hiding a lot but nope. Nothing. So I thought maybe overnite. Still nothing! Damn fish! lol

So tonite its eggplant lasagna for dinner. I was going to go with a pot roast or stuffed chicken but I forgot to thaw them out so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

So the diet. Its going. Havent gained or lost any weight really but I keep weighing in (Wii Fit Plus!) at random times of the day so it isnt consistent. Im going to try doing it around noon and sticking with that time from here on out. Still taking the Xenical and still working out with Wii Fit Plus and EA Active for Wii. The kids love laughing at me when it tells me Im running too slow or when my little mii chick gets all hot and sweaty lol. Someday they will be out of shape and fat and I will be the one laughing at them! lmao. And YES Wayne actually got on the thing. He wasnt thrilled but he did it lol. Now just to keep him doing it!

Ok thats about it for today. Its chilly and rainy and the leaves r falling like crazy out there. Good day to do nothing!

Finally this weekend is over!

Not that it was really really bad but It felt like a long weekend for sure. Friday the kids and I got soaking wet in the rain grocery shopping. It totally sucked. Was soooo windy and wet and my car the vets arent working right so we had a helluva time keeping the windows from fogging up. Finally I gave up and came home. Just couldnt take it anymore. Came home and did whatever (cant even remember what we had for dinner!) and that was that.

Saturday I had to go get Shakes meds at the vet with my aunt. He starts them tomorrow and his blood test is on the 18th. We only got two weeks worth of meds. I dont want to buy a ton of one dose and have the test say he needs a different dose and then Im stuck with them. So when the results come back on Tuesday Ill have to go get more meds for him. He seems to be feeling ok though so thats good. After the vet my aunt and I went to the grocery store. Shes soooo slooooow. We were in there for two hours which is 1 hour 59 mins longer than I wanted to be there! lol. I did get some good deals though and planned some different meals for this week since everyone seems to be getting bored with chicken around here. Came home and my aunt decides to rearrange her house. I came home to my house trying to avoid it! Decided to make meatballs so I made a bunch of them and we had meatball sandwiches for dinner (yum) and I froze the rest. Then I decided to fry some eggplant from the garden before the frost hits. Froze that too for parm & eggplant lasagna. So that was pretty much Saturday.

Sunday was calm. My aunt made cabbage rolls for dinner. One of my least favorite meals. Choked that down and came home and watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs with the kids. Cute movie. Not in my list of top kids movies but it was good.

Lets see. What else. Oh the Xenical. Wayne is actually taking it. I dont think hes thrilled lol but hes taking it. Im going to try forcing him onto the Wii fit tonite to get a weight on him. Shhh dont tell him or he wont come home! LMAO! Dont think he will do it but we'll see. Ive been taking it too and so far it seems fine. No idea if its working yet but time will tell.

Oh so after all that shopping here is what Ive come up with for the week. My menu for the last few weeks has been basically chicken, pork, chicken, pork, ground beef, chicken, pork, pizza, chicken, pork lol. Yeah everyone is bored with it so I tried to work out a different plan. Here r my plans for the week:

Monday - Western (ham, pepper, onion, egg, cheese) omelet english muffin sandwiches, pancakes (I dont eat pancakes but the kids and Wayne do), hash browns - Again probably not so healthy. English muffins were on sale though (6 packages for the price of 2 packages!) and potatoes were also on sale (15lbs for $2!) and Im going to try making them with just mostly egg whites and only half the yolks to make them a little better.


Tuesday - Hot dogs, mac & cheese, beans - Ok yes it isnt healthy and doesnt sound inspired but its different than our usual meals and I got good hot dogs so it will be yummy.


Wednesday - Pot roast, potatoes, carrots and onions with broccoli - Not one of my favorite meals but Im going to do it in the crockpot so I can just chuck it in and forget it even exists lol. Ill eat mostly just the veggies myself.

Thursday - Chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts. Again the chicken will be crockpot so its easy.

Friday - I have a drs appt at 1:15pm so Ill most likely be bringing something home.

Possible change - Since I fried all that eggplant Saturday I might make an eggplant lasagna either Wednesday or Thursday instead. Basically its a mix of a lasagna with noodles and an eggplant parm. Yum.

Fish babies, dead rats, sick dogs and random other things

Well this has been an interesting few weeks. Lets start with the fish. Decided to set up a new fishtank a few weeks ago. Its been going well. We only lost 3 fish the first week and none since. Right now we have 3 male (Flame, Little Blue, Citrus) and 3 female (Peacock, Little Red, Rainbow) fancy guppies, 1 female mickey mouse platy (Minnie), 1 male marigold platy (Jack), 1 male (Pongo) and 1 female (Perdita) dalmatian mollies, 2 zebra (Stripes and Dirty Snowball) and 1 pearl danio (Pearl) sex unknown. Last Friday the kids and I had to go pick up meds for Shake at the vet (Ill get to that later) and when we came home we found a few baby fish in the tank. Now anyone who knows me - really knows me - will understand when I say that totally made me so excited! I could only find 3 at the time but they seemed to be doing well so I decided not to try taking them out of the main tank and away from the adults. Next morning I wake up and I can only find 1 baby. I went into panic. Tore apart the whole tank. Took out all the "savage baby killing adults" lol and started my baby hunt. Well I found my 1 baby and 5 others! YEAH! Got them into the little plastic breeder tank and the adults all back in the main tank happily when all of a sudden I see a 7th baby swimming around. Well I was already soaked and wasnt about to rip apart the tank again and decided to leave it be. That was a week ago and I havent seen it since so I assume it didnt make it. The good news is my 6 others r doing great! They r growing fast and I can even see them poop and eat lmao. They r cute. I have a few other females I think r pregnant too so Im watching them. Now comes the weirdness. I cant tell if they r guppy, molly or platy babies! I have no idea. In a few weeks as they grow Ill be able to tell but for now they just look like little swimming sperms with big black eyes lol. The other fish r all doing well too. We have 1 male betta (Elvis), 1 albino pleco (Alby), 1 fancy goldfish (Swimmy), 1 black moor goldfish (Jackson), 1 chinese algae eater (Brock) and 2 african dwarf frogs (Froggie 1 and Froggie 2 - I cant tell them apart! lol). It amazes me how relaxing and fun it is to just sit back for a few mins and watch them all do their fishy thing. Very nice!

Ok now onto the dead rats. Morbid I know! We r down to 3 ratties. 1 female Slushy who is about 2 and 2 males Nigel and Odd Ball who r 2 1/2. Its sad to only have 3 but its also ok. In the long run I want to get back to having just 2 males of the same age together. I started with females because the boy "parts" really grossed me out lol but the females get sooo many more tumors. I just moved Slushy into a smaller cage now that she is by herself and she seems to be happy. Nigel and Odd Ball r also getting a smaller cage this weekend because they r getting old and having issues climbing the ramps. I want to make it easier on my old men. Thats the rat news here.

Dogs. Man. Dogs. Remind me again why I have dogs? lol. So last week Shake started not feeling well. He will be 7 in Feb so not old really. He started to have a hard time getting up and he would leak pee. On the couch, floor, everywhere. And he wasnt happy about it. He would look so sad. Wouldnt eat and was just not himself at all. So we take him to the vet and his kidney functions r failing. Meds and home he comes and they decide to check him for Cushings Disease. Sure enough he has it. At the same time his intestines r inflamed so we r dealing with that also. So tomorrow I have to go back to the vet and get his first batch of new meds. With meds and testing its going to cost about $500 a month to start and hes going to be doing this forever. I cant not treat him though and I cant put him down. I just cant. So we will make it work. Somehow.

As for the other critters (hamsters, birdies, bunny, cats, dogs) everyone is doing good. Hopefully they will stay that way because Im runnin out of money! lol. Shimmer has a vet appt next Saturday to get her thyroid checked again and Cry Baby also has an appt next Saturday for his ear infection.

Ok so random things. Wayne is still at EB and he really likes it. He just moved from a driller to a nuke instructor. Scary eh? lol. Hes the only ex-Navy nuke there though so he was a sure hire for the job. Big raise and all that. So then he has to get this physical for his blood pressure at our regular dr. I went to get mine done too. Of course his is sky high and mine is just a little up. Well I decided to ask the dr about Xenical. For those who dont know about it its basically double strength Alli which is a weighloss pill u take when u eat meals that have a lot of fat. It keeps ur body from absorbing all of the fat in the meal. Over the summer I joined the gym and I loved going but my back was and still is a serious issue and the dr didnt want me to go anymore. Ive been working out at home (Wii Fit and EA Active kick my ass 5 days a week!) but things hurt. A lot. Im hoping the more weight I can lose the more I can get my back/hip feeling better. So Ive lost a little but not as much as I would like and Wayne needs to drop an easy 100lbs. So the dr said yes to the Xenical and the ins is actually paying for it so we started that today. A few years ago I did Alli and lost 30 pounds in a few months. Most of that was leftover Robyn baby weight. It was great but cost a fortune. This is double strength and 1/3 the price. Nice. I dont want to lose tons. I really dont. But Wayne HAS to lose weight and if I dont make him he wont do it. As much as I want to kill him lol I dont really want to see him drop dead of a stroke. Once he sees me doing it he will follow. He always does. So we started the Xenical today. Wish me luck!

Lets see. What else? Oh the kids! Cant forget them lol. They r good. Trying to force them into the swing of school. Not easy. Robyn is soooo stubborn. I mean really. Shes nothing like me! LMAO! Angelina and Wayne r butting heads big time. Ive had to take her phone away a few times and send him to bed lol. Josh is just Josh. Pretty chill but the teen years r upon us so we r dealing with that. Fun fun!

Oh geeze and phones! Weve had Sprint for about 3 years. Service was pure crap at home and we were always roaming onto Verizon so in August we decided to switch to Verizon so we got new phone numbers. Much better service let me tell u but what a nightmare. People please when u leave a number TELL PEOPLE so they dont keep calling u! I get constant calls and texts for someone named Andy. Apparently Andy never told anyone he has a new number. He owes his baby mama child support, his car broke down and he had it towed and never went to get it 2 months ago, at the same time he got a rental car which he never returned, he doesnt show up for work half the time AND dude owes people a ton of money. Heres my thing. If Im going to run off on my kid and snatch a rental car and owe people cash why change my number? Id like to know when they r all gonna hunt me down and beat my ass! Id just ignore the calls and keep the same number. Geeze. Andy if ur out there please I beg u. Call these idiots and tell them to take my number out of their phones and please go get ur baby some formula! My god.

Ok so lets talk TV. I dont watch tons but I have some faves right now. NCIS is amazing. Last season was awesome and this season so far does not disappoint. It helps that Gibbs is hot (as is Ziva even though shes a chick lol)  but really the writers for that show r just incredible. Keep it up NCIS! Then we have Dancing with the "Stars" ack. I hate it but I watch it  because Josh loves it. This season I dont have a clear fave. Ones I wanted to hate Im liking and ones I thought I would like I dont so much. So that should be interesting. Glee. My god. At first I wanted to rip my own eyeballs out watching it. Then it grew on me a  little. Very little. We missed the first episode of this season but I did see this weeks and it SUCKED ASS! If they dont step it up its coming off my dvr real quick. Outsourced. OMG soooo funnnny! Basically its am American guy running a call center in India. Like that would ever really happen? LMAO! Really though its too damn funny and the fact that its on the same nite as Big Bang Theory gives me a good Thursday nite! Loving RuPauls Drag-U lol and Project Runway and Americas Next Top Model this season as well. American Idol I still havent decided if Im going to watch without Simon. Randy annoys me and I dont love the new judges. Ryan being hot might keep me watching but thats about it. Waiting for So You Think You Can Dance to come back.

Anyway thats the news here! Nothing too exciting. lol. For those reading this my plan is no more than 1 post per day. I have friends with blogs and when they post every 5 mins it drives me nuts. Thats what Facebook status updates r for people! So this one Im going to post since I doubt Ill add to it later but usually Ill just draft it and post them at the end of the nite. Gonna try getting back into blogging

So its been interesting around here lately and I thought I would give blogging a shot again. Of course it took me 2 days to remember where my old blog was but Ive finally found it! lol. Now lets post and see if it still works!

Glasses or no glasses...that is the question...

Well for awhile now Angelina has been saying her eyes r out of whack. Its not all the time and isnt even every week but shes mentioned it several times and it seems to be getting more and more frequent. She finally has her appt today at 5pm to get her eyes checked for the first time ever. If she has Waynes eyes she stands a decent chance of not needing glasses but if she has my eyes shes screwed totally! Almost everyone in my family has glasses at least for reading and I would still have them myself 24/7 if it werent for fabulous laser eye surgery. She says she wont mind if she needs them (her Cousin Tay has them and looks great!) and is glad to have it checked out but personally I think if she does get glasses its going to be a battle. First shes picky picky picky so I fully intend to spend a fortune. Second Robyn has to have everything that anyone else has so that will be big trouble. Obviously she will have to get over it but still it will be interesting. I guess we'll see in a few hours!

Holy Facebook and ur addictions T, Lettie, Rho, Christie and Diana!

Ok Facebook has to stop adding new things. I have sooooooo many invites and notifications I cant keep up. Between T, Lettie, Rho, Christie and Diana I might go nuts LMAO! I dont know how u guys keep up with these things. I can barely keep up with just Mafia Wars and Pirates. Youve got eggs and hatching things and hunts and holy cow the list never ends. U all need help with ur addictions!

Now onto my own addictions LMAO! Mafia Wars is awesome. I never get into things like that but I really like it! Im making like $60,000 an hour now which is nothing compared to some of the people Ive seen playing but is still a lot to me. Im doing some serious ass kickin which I love lolol! I even got Wayne playing last nite and although he isnt as easily addicted as I am but Im betting he will be soon!

Pirates I just started only to humor Christie LMAO but its pretty much the same as Mafia. Takes some getting used to the differences but its workin good. When my energy is down on one I can do the other till it builds back up!

As for the Funkeys Im getting better at remembering whats where and who can go to which places thanks to Lettie. Angelina was playing for quite awhile yesterday really getting into it. Robyn just thinks they r cute to carry around and make them into a little family. Josh is still getting over his flu but hes feeling a lot better every day and thank God no one else has it yet!

Wayne started EB yesterday so Im down to working only Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday which really is fine with me. Tax season is slowing down quite a bit (not that it ever really got busy this year) so Im good with only 4 days a week till April 15th when its all said and done. Gives me more time with the kids!

UB Funkeys r pretty cool!

Ok so Lettie has been playing these UB Funkeys things with the cousins for quite awhile now. At Christmas time Mom asked me if I thought my brats might like em and I didnt know so she went ahead and got them a starter pack. Well here it is March and I finally got around to hooking it up the other day after having Lettie tell me a little about them at her house. Holy freakin cool hey! Between the two Lettie gave us and the two Mom started us off with we had a good time with em night one. Only problem was the hub (thing u hook to the comp) kept dieing so I had to go get another and return the broken one. No biggie. While there we saw on clearance two more one being a "chat funkey" so we got that and then we got two for Josh and Angelina to have on Robyns bday yesterday bringing us up to 8 funkeys! Each funkey unlocks different games and things and weve already started building our house for em online. Robyn and Angelina r really getting into it and Josh while a little old for it does like the games so its cool. Just another little addiction only good thing is this one doesnt require feeding and its really pretty cheap LMAO!
